West End Shows Are The Finest In The World

West End shows are located in London theatreland. This is traditionally bordered by Oxford Street to the north, Regent Street to the west, The Strand to the south and Kingsway to the east. Theatreland contains approximately forty large theatres.

London's first playhouse was built at the Shoreditch in 1576. In 1663 the first West End theatre opened on Drury Lane and this was tragically burnt down due to a fire in 1672.
